Clinical Exposure

Structured Clinical Training for BHMS Students

From the second year onwards, BHMS students at Sri ASSAS undergo structured clinical postings in the hospital. Under faculty supervision, they engage in patient case taking, analysis, repertorization, and prescription writing.

The 1-year compulsory internship allows students to work independently in OPD and ward environments, preparing them for AYUSH Medical Officer exams and private practice.

Clinical Posting Schedule

  • 2nd BHMS: Observational OPD postings (morning)
  • 3rd BHMS: Active case-taking in General Medicine & Surgery
  • Final BHMS: Full rotation across all departments
  • Internship: Independent clinical practice with supervision
